Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Practice Nurse to support a GP practice in Devizes. The role focuses on chronic disease reviews, wound care and routine nursing clinics within a structured primary care setting.

You will contribute to high-quality patient care through clinical reviews, preventive health work and efficient treatment room activity, with well-organised workflows and supportive nursing leadership for daily clinic delivery.

Qualifications

• Chronic disease management experience in primary care.
• Strong patient communication and clinical reasoning.
• NMC registered nurse with current practice.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews (asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypertension).
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Carry out adult and children's immunisations (if trained).
• Undertake smear tests (cytology-trained).
• Complete NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Manage results, recalls and routine follow-ups.
• Document clearly in the clinical system.
