Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Practice Nurse to support a GP practice in Chichester. The role involves delivering chronic disease reviews, wound care, and routine nursing clinics within a structured primary care environment.

You will contribute to high-quality patient care through clinical reviews, preventative health work and treatment room activity, with well-organised workflows and supportive nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Immunisation training up-to-date desirable.
• Cytology training is a plus.
• Strong clinical reasoning and patient communication.
• Experience with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS is required or desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for conditions such as asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension.
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Carry out adult and children’s immunisations if trained.
• Undertake smear tests (cytology-trained nurses).
• Complete NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Manage results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks.
• Document clearly in the clinical system.
