Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Practice Nurse to work for a GP practice in Bolton. The role suits a nurse with strong assessment skills who can deliver chronic disease reviews, wound care, and routine nursing clinics in a structured primary care setting.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with experience in primary care.
• Immunisation training desirable and cytology training is a plus.
• Confident in chronic disease management and treatment room-work.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for patients with asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension.
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Carry out adult and children's immunisations (if trained).
• Undertake smear tests (cytology-trained nurses).
• Complete NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Manage results, recalls and routine follow-ups.
• Document clearly in the clinical system.
