Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Practice Nurse for a GP practice in Hailsham, offering flexible sessions across mornings and afternoons in a structured primary care setting.

You will perform chronic disease reviews, wound care and treatment room duties, administer immunisations (where trained), undertake smear tests, and complete NHS Health Checks while maintaining clear documentation in EMIS/SystmOne/Vision. DBS check is enhanced and essential for this role.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered Nurse with experience in primary care.
• Up-to-date immunisation and cytology training desirable.
• Confident in chronic disease management and treatment room-work.
• Good patient communication and clinical reasoning.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension.

This role is ideal for a Practice Nurse with strong assessment skills who can confidently deliver chronic disease reviews, treatment room procedures and routine nursing clinics in a structured primary care environment.

You will contribute to high-quality patient care through a balance of clinical reviews, preventative health work and treatment room activity. The practice offers well-organised workflows, supportive nursing leadership and a clear structure for daily clinic delivery.
