A leading recruitment agency is seeking a qualified Locum Planning Lawyer for a Local Authority in the South West. This fully remote role offers £60 per hour outside IR35 with no committee attendance needed. Candidates should have recent Local Authority experience and be adept in handling Planning obligations. This position is initially for 6 months with the possibility of extension.

Overview

Locum Planning Lawyer – Local Authority – South West – £60 Per Hour Outside IR35 – Fully Remote

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Planning Lawyer to join a Local Authority in the South West on a full-time, 6-month initial basis.

Responsibilities

• Providing advice on a wide range of general Planning and Highways matters
• Drafting and dealing with complex Section 106 obligations
• Assisting with Planning Enforcement and Appeal work
• Undertaking research and providing advice to the Council in the areas of planning law specifically and Local Government Law generally

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate would be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with recent previous Local Authority experience
• This position will involve a mixed Planning caseload with an emphasis around Section 106 obligations

Details

Hourly rate of up to £60 per hour Outside IR35. This role offers fully remote working, with no planning committee attendance required. Location: South West. Term: 6-month initial basis.
