Locum Planning Lawyer – South of England – Initial 3 Month Contract – Fully Remote – Up to £60 per hour Umbrella

Venn Group’s specialist legal team is currently recruiting for a skilled Locum Planning Lawyer to join a well-regarded Local Authority based in the South of England. The role is for an initial 3-month contract with the likelihood of extension. This is a fully remote position, allowing complete flexibility to work from home.

Role Overview:

As a Locum Planning Lawyer, you will be responsible for managing a diverse planning law caseload. Your duties will include:

  • Drafting and negotiating Section 106 agreements.
  • Providing legal advice on planning applications and planning appeals.
  • Offering general planning law advice to the council and stakeholders.
  • Advising on highways matters, including drafting agreements and offering legal guidance on highways-related issues.
  • Collaborating with a supportive team to deliver high-quality legal services.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive with significant experience in planning law.
  • Proven experience handling Section 106 agreements, planning applications, appeals, and highways matters.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.
  • Strong communication and advisory skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
