Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking a Band 5 ACT Pharmacy Technician – Accuracy Checking Technician for quick-start locum work across Hertfordshire. You will support the dispensary, travel to wards, and perform reconciliations to ensure safe patient care.

The role emphasizes accuracy, patient counselling, and collaborative service development. Applicants should have hospital experience, particularly in mental health environments, and be proficient with EMIS Ascribe.

Qualifications

• Qualified pharmacy technician with a minimum of two years of experience.
• Experience working in a hospital setting, particularly within mental health environments.
• Experience using the EMIS Ascribe Pharmacy Dispensing System.

Responsibilities

• Support the dispensary with ordering, receiving, dispensing, and checking medication for wards and departments.
• Travel to various wards and units across Hertfordshire, providing crucial pharmacy services.
• Conduct medicines reconciliations to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Assess patients’ own drugs and transcribe for supply, enhancing their treatment plans.
• Provide clear and compassionate counselling to patients regarding their medications.
• Participate in pharmacy-related audits, stock reviews, and service development.
• Utilize your experience to train and manage staff.
• Work effectively in a hospital setting, particularly within mental health environments, utilizing the EMIS Ascribe Pharmacy Dispensing System.
