Are you a Band 6 or Band 7 Locum Pharmacist looking for a rewarding locum role in Leicester? We have an exciting opportunity with great pay and flexibility!

Job Title: Locum Pharmacist Band 6 / Band 7

Location: Leicester

Duration: 6 months (strong potential for extension)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm (30 mins lunch)

What You'll Be Doing:

Join our team as a Locum Pharmacist and play a key role in supporting patient care across hospital settings in Leicester. In this role, you will:

1. Dispense and check medications in a hospital dispensary setting (Band 6 & 7)
2. Support clinical pharmacy services on medical and surgical wards (Band 7 only)
3. Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team and other healthcare professionals
4. Deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred care
5. Maintain accurate pharmacy records and uphold clinical governance standards

Requirements & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A current and valid GPhC registration
2. Band 6: No prior hospital experience required - suitable for newly registered or community pharmacists transitioning to hospital work
3. Band 7: Previous hospital experience is essential, including clinical ward work
4. Strong communication and problem-solving skills
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
6. A commitment to patient safety and quality care

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This role offers a flexible working pattern, requiring availability Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, with potential for part-time work (3 or 4 days). The initial contract is for 6 months, with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
