Applications are invited for a Locum Consultant Paediatric Surgeon to join the Department of Paediatric Surgery & Urology at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. The post is locum initially with potential to become substantive in 1 year.

Qualifications

• FRCS(Paed) or equivalent framed for Paediatric surgery registration.
• MD/PhD/MSc or equivalent advanced degrees.
• Post CCT Fellowship in Paediatric Colorectal Surgery or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide paediatric surgery cover on an unselected on-call rota.
• Develop sub-specialist interest in colorectal surgery (including anorectal malformations).
• Work with a team of surgeons, nurses and allied professionals to deliver high-quality paediatric care.
• Supervise residents and contribute to teaching, audit and service development.
