Job summary

Pulse Healthcare Limited is seeking a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to work as a locum in Loughborough. The role is part-time, one day per week, with Band 6/7 level responsibilities. You will provide targeted SLT input across KS3/KS4, including post-16, and coach school staff to support communication needs.

You will be joining a school with a large SEND cohort, delivering both direct clinical work and advisory support to staff, and contributing to EHCP outcomes as required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with HCPC registration.
• Experience in school settings or working with SEND pupils is preferred.
• Ability to provide coaching and training to staff.

Responsibilities

• Assess pupils to determine speech, language, and communication needs.
• Deliver individual and small-group SLT interventions.
• Support pupils with receptive and expressive language difficulties.
• Provide input for pupils with social communication needs.
• Coach teaching staff and contribute to staff development sessions.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and collaborate with SEND team.
