Job summary

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Locum Consultant Anaesthetist with Specialist Interest in Paediatric Anaesthesia at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge. The post commences March 2027 for 12 months.

The role covers paediatric theatres including neonates, with commitments to adult sessions and one longer day involving an evening trauma session on a 1:10 basis, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• GMC registration and CCT or near completion required.
• Eligibility for Specialist Registration via CESR.
• Ability to work in paediatric and adult theatres.
• Willingness to job-share or work part-time.
• Non-UK applicants must have IELTS/OET before GMC license.

Responsibilities

• Cover paediatric theatres including neonates and some adult sessions.
• Deliver one longer day with an evening trauma session on a 1:10 basis (Mon-Fri).
• Contribute to the Major Trauma Centre and teaching activities at Addenbrooke's Hospital.
