Job summary

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Cambridge is seeking a Locum Consultant Anaesthetist with a Specialist Interest in Paediatric Anaesthesia, to commence March 2027 for a 12-month period. The role covers paediatric theatres including neonates, with some adult sessions, and a 1:10 evening trauma session on a Monday–Friday rota.

GMC registration with a CCT or CESR route is required, and sponsorship may be considered for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• GMC registration and CCT in Anaesthesia or within six months of award.
• CESR pathway submission may be considered.
• IELTS/OET for non-UK applicants as required.
• Willingness to job-share if needed.

Responsibilities

• Cover paediatric theatres including neonates with some adult sessions.
• Deliver one longer day with an evening trauma session on a 1:10 basis, Monday–Friday.
• Contribute to teaching, audit and quality improvement within the department.
