Locum Ready is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to work in a GP practice in Houghton Le Spring. You will run autonomous NP-led clinics, provide triage and help maintain continuity of care for patients in a busy primary care setting.

Ideally you hold an Nurse Practitioner qualification with Independent Prescribing experience and have a background in primary or urgent care. This role offers regular or ad-hoc sessions with morning and afternoon clinics and long-term opportunities.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Practitioner with relevant experience.
• Independent Prescribing qualification desirable.
• Background in primary care, urgent care or community nursing.
• Confident autonomous clinician with strong clinical judgement.

Responsabilités

• Running minor illness and urgent care NP clinics.
• Telephone triage and patient streaming.
• Assessing, diagnosing and managing undifferentiated presentations.
• Prescribing independently where qualified.
• Reviewing investigations and actioning follow-up tasks.
• Ensuring accurate documentation within the clinical system.
• Supporting GPs and Practice Nurses with core clinical duties.
