Are you an experienced Biomedical Scientist with expertise in Immunology, seeking a new locum position in South London? We have a fantastic opportunity offering competitive pay and flexibility!

Job Title:

Biomedical Scientist Band 5/6 - Immunology

Location:

South London

Duration:

3-month rolling contract with review for extension

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Start Date:

ASAP

Rate of Pay:

£20 -25 per hour DOE (umbrella equivalent)

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Biomedical Scientist in Immunology and Virology, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality diagnostic services. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Conducting immunology and virology lab tests, including PCR, ELISA, and serological assays
  2. Preparing and processing patient samples for analysis, ensuring high standards of accuracy
  3. Collaborating with senior staff to interpret results and provide expert guidance
  4. Maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring all procedures meet regulatory standards
  5. Assisting in the development and implementation of quality control measures
  6. Working closely within a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care
Requirements & Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  1. Extensive experience in Immunology and Virology, particularly with laboratory testing techniques such as PCR, ELISA, and viral culture
  2. Strong knowledge of laboratory practices, specimen preparation, and analysis
  3. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
  4. A commitment to providing accurate, high-quality diagnostic services
  5. Full right to work in the UK (we are unable to provide sponsorship)
Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This role follows a Monday to Friday schedule, with 37.5 hours per week, offering some flexibility if needed. The initial contract duration is 3 months, with the possibility of rolling extensions based on performance and service requirements.
