? New Locum Opportunity – Homelessness Lawyer

We're working with Sheffield City Council to recruit a Locum Homelessness Lawyer for an initial 2–3 month contract (very likely to extend). This role is fully remote, offers a competitive hourly rate, and gives you the chance to make a real difference in a key frontline service.

? The role at a glance:

Advise on statutory homelessness duties (Housing Act 1996, Part VII)

Respond to legal challenges from applicants & their reps

Draft formal responses to pre-action protocols & judicial reviews

Support senior staff with complex legal escalations

Handle enquiries from solicitors, advocates & third parties

Fully remote working – flexibility built in

? Who we’re looking for:

? Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Exec

? 2–3 years+ experience in homelessness or housing law

?️ Ideally with local authority background

?️ Able to manage a busy caseload with autonomy

? Confident communicator with sharp drafting skills
