Pulse in West Midlands is seeking a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Histology to join our client’s team in the West Midlands. This full-time, ongoing role offers core hours and an hourly rate of £20-£27.

You will process and embed tissue samples, perform microtomy, and stain slides for microscopic examination, supporting pathologists in diagnostic reporting. HCPC registration and a Biomedical Science degree are required, along with NHS experience.

We are currently seeking a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Histology to join our client's team in the West Midlands area. This is a full-time, ongoing position working core hours only, offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to contribute to a busy and well-established laboratory service.

Key Responsibilities

You will process and embed tissue samples, perform microtomy, and stain slides for microscopic examination. You will support pathologists in diagnostic reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

• HCPC registration
• Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
• Experience in Histology within a clinical laboratory
• Experience with microtomy and staining techniques
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• NHS experience (required)
