Pulse Healthcare Limited is actively seeking a Band 6 Locum Histology Biomedical Scientist to join our client’s team in Somerset. This is a full-time, ongoing position with core hours and an attractive hourly rate (£25–£27).

The role involves processing and embedding tissue samples, microtomy and slide staining to support diagnostic reporting by pathologists. The ideal candidate will hold HCPC registration, a degree in Biomedical Science, UK histology experience, and NHS exposure.

Formación

• HCPC registration
• Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
• Experience in Histology within a UK based clinical laboratory
• Experience with microtomy and staining techniques
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• NHS experience (required)

We are currently seeking a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Histology to join our client’s team in Somerset. This is a full-time, ongoing position working core hours only, offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to contribute to a busy and well-established laboratory service.

Key Responsibilities

You will process and embed tissue samples, perform microtomy, and stain slides for microscopic examination. You will support pathologists in diagnostic reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

• HCPC registration




• Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent




• Experience in Histology within a UK based clinical laboratory




• Experience with microtomy and staining techniques




• Strong attention to detail




• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities




• NHS experience (required)
