Job summary

Military Medical Personnel seeks a Locum Healthcare Assistant to cover a MoD assignment at Innsworth Medical Centre in Innsworth, Gloucester. This full-time locum role (37.5 hours per week) delivers high-quality care to MoD service personnel and pays £17.76 per hour.

The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team, provide ward-based nursing care under supervision, support physicians and nurses, perform clinical observations, and handle medical administration.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or an equivalent Healthcare NVQ.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in general practice or healthcare as an HCA.
• In-date Basic Life Support (BLS), AED and IPC training.
• Must provide training certificates and evidence of clinical competency on request.
• Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic ward-based nursing care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Support MOs and practice nurse teams in Primary Health Care and occupational health clinics.
• Record clinical observations and measurements (ECGs, venepuncture, venipuncture, spirometry, urinalysis).
• Provide medical administrative support as required.
• Communicate effectively with patients and collaborate with nursing and admin staff.
