Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Healthcare Assistant to support a GP practice in Princes Risborough. The role focuses on assisting clinical teams with routine procedures, patient assessments and day-to-day activity in the treatment room.

You will be part of an organized primary care environment, helping manage patient flow and contributing to high-quality care delivery. This locum position offers flexible weekly sessions and various booking arrangements.

Qualifications

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Basic IT competence for clinical system documentation.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation.
• Supporting with treatment room procedures.
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained).
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments.
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion.
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system.
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required.
