Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Healthcare Assistant to support a GP practice in Pontyclun, Wales. You will help manage patient flow and assist with routine treatment room activities, ensuring high-quality care delivery.

Ideal candidates have prior HCA experience in primary care or the NHS, enhanced DBS, and strong communication skills with basic IT competency for documenting in the clinical system. Ad-hoc or regular weekly sessions are available.

Qualifikationen

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or the NHS is required.
• Enhanced DBS is desirable or required.
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations and routine tasks.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills; basic IT competence for clinical documentation.

Aufgaben

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation.
• Supporting with treatment room procedures.
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained).
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments.
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion.
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system.
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required.
