Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant for flexible treatment room sessions across primary care services in Westgate-on-Sea. You will support clinical teams with routine tasks, observations and hands-on duties in GP clinic environments. Requirements include NHS-style HCA experience and DBS clearance.

The role offers fully flexible sessions, with weekday, evening or weekend availability and options for ad-hoc or regular work across regional and community primary care services.

Qualifications

• Experience as an HCA in primary care or NHS settings.
• Confident performing routine clinical observations.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different clinic environments.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine clinical observations (BP, pulse, temperature).
• Support treatment room procedures (wound care, dressings).
• Perform ECGs and basic health checks.
• Assist with phlebotomy if trained.
• Update digital patient records per service protocols.
• Support clinicians with general duties and maintain a clean, safe environment.
