Job summary

Locums First is seeking Locum Healthcare Assistants to provide support across community clinics, GP surgeries and wider primary care services in Par. The role offers sessional work with the flexibility to select shifts that align with your experience and weekly availability.

You will help with patient assessments, carry out routine clinical procedures and support nurses and GPs to maintain an efficient clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working as an HCA in primary care, community or NHS settings.
• Phlebotomy skills beneficial.
• Confident in carrying out standardised clinical tasks.
• Strong communication and time-management abilities.
• Enhanced DBS.
• Comfortable adapting to new clinical environments.

Responsibilities

• Conducting basic patient observations including BP, pulse and temperature
• Supporting routine treatment room procedures
• Carrying out ECGs and basic health checks
• Performing phlebotomy if trained
• Assisting with patient education and lifestyle advice
• Updating clinical notes accurately in service systems
• Providing general clinical support to nurses and GPs
