Are you an experienced GP Practice-Based Pharmacist looking for your next impactful locum position? A well-established GP surgery in Stafford is seeking a dedicated Independent Prescriber to join their clinical team. If you're passionate about improving patient outcomes in a primary care setting, this could be the role for you.
Job Title: GP Practice-Based Pharmacist
Location: Stafford
Start Date: July 2025
End Date: Ongoing
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (30-minute break)
Rate of Pay: £30.00 – £40.00 per hour DOE
Role Summary:
You'll play a key role within the multidisciplinary team, supporting clinical services through structured medication reviews, chronic disease management, and safe prescribing. The practice is highly collaborative, with a focus on high-quality patient care and prescribing efficiency. Remote working may be considered after an initial settling-in period.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Undertake medication reviews and medicines optimisation
Manage long-term conditions in line with clinical guidelines
Prescribe confidently and appropriately as an IP
Work alongside GPs, nurses, and the wider team to deliver integrated care
Maintain thorough and accurate patient documentation
What You’ll Need:
GPhC registration as a Pharmacist
At least 1 year of experience in general practice or primary care
Excellent clinical judgement and communication skills
Ability to work independently and integrate into a team
Contract Details:
This is a Monday to Friday position (9am–5pm, 30-minute break), starting in July with an ongoing duration. There is a high likelihood of long-term extension for the right candidate. Remote working options may be available once embedded into the service.
