Job summary

Path House Medical Practice in Kirkcaldy is seeking a GP locum for a fixed-term maternity cover starting January 2027 for 12 months. The role requires flexibility with a 6-session week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday) and the ability to manage a busy urban practice.

The practice has 12 GPs and a supportive team including ANPs, pharmacists, mental health nurses, and district nurses, with VISION/Docman in use. Training for GPST1/GPST3 is available and a flexible on-call rota is in place.

Qualifications

• GMC registration to practice in the UK.
• Experience in general practice delivery is essential.
• Willing to cover fixed-term maternity locum for 12 months.
• Availability for a 6-session week is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine GP care across 6 sessions per week (Tue/Wed/Fri).
• Conduct morning/afternoon appointments and occasional 15-minute slots.
• Perform house visits at lunch if required and participate in on-call duties.
• Contribute to a training practice environment for GPST1/GPST3.
