Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a GMC-registered General Practitioner to join a GP practice in West Wickham on a locum basis. You will manage a varied caseload, perform patient assessments and ensure continuity where needed, with strong administrative support and clear clinical workflows.

You will be expected to conduct routine and urgent clinics, provide telehealth triage, review investigations, and prescribe safely within a team-focused environment. Indemnity and DBS are required.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered General Practitioner requirement.
• Active inclusion on the NHS Performers List.
• Recent UK primary care experience.
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or similar systems.
• Valid indemnity and Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Running routine and urgent GP clinics.
• Managing acute presentations and complex cases.
• Providing telephone consultations and triage as part of daily workflow.
• Reviewing investigations, results and medication queries.
• Prescribing safely and appropriately.
• Documenting consultations clearly using the clinical system.
• Supporting the practice with clinical actions and follow-up tasks.
