Job summary

The locum GP position at Faversham Medical Practice (part of Faversham Medical Group) covers March to August 2027. The role involves managing a broad primary care caseload across surgery, telephone consultations, home visits and repeat prescribing in a two-site practice with an Urgent Treatment Centre.

Applicants must hold GMC registration as a GP and be on the Performers List, with experience in partnership working and strong communication.

Qualifications

• GMC registration on the GP performers list and current licence to practise.
• Experience with partnership working and building relationships/networking.
• Ability to work across a multi-site practice and manage a varied caseload.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload across primary care needs with high standards of care.
• Conduct surgery and telephone consultations, home visits, and check/repeat prescriptions.
• Make autonomous clinical decisions for self-referred or staff-referred problems.
• Assess undifferentiated problems and screen for disease risk.
• Develop care plans with patients and provide counselling/education.
• Admit/discharge patients and refer to other providers as needed.
• Issue prescriptions and document timely notes and audits.
