Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a GMC-registered General Practitioner to work with a GP practice in Folkestone. This role offers ad-hoc or regular weekly sessions with full-day or half-day availability, ensuring flexible, well-organised sessions in a supportive environment.

You will manage a varied caseload, deliver high-quality patient assessments and provide continuity where required. Strong administrative support, established workflows and a collaborative team approach help make daily clinical work

Qualifications

• GMC-registered GP with active medical licence to practise.
• Active inclusion on the NHS Performers List.
• Recent UK primary care experience.
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or similar systems.
• Valid indemnity and Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Running routine and urgent GP clinics.
• Managing acute presentations and complex cases.
• Providing telephone consultations and triage as part of daily workflow.
• Reviewing investigations, results and medication queries.
• Prescribing safely and appropriately.
• Documenting consultations clearly using the clinical system.
• Supporting the practice with clinical actions and follow-up tasks.
