Job summary

Locums First is seeking Locum General Practitioners to provide flexible, sessional work across multiple primary care services in Ryton. You will deliver evidence-based GP care through urgent access appointments, routine reviews, and triage, with supportive clinical teams and clear workflows.

Ideal candidates are GMC-registered GPs with NHS Performers List inclusion and experience in GP or urgent care settings, capable of adapting to varying environments and communicating effectively with teams

Qualifications

• GMC-registered GP with current licence.

• Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments.
• Strong clinical reasoning and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Managing urgent and routine GP clinics across different primary care settings.

You will support local services by delivering evidence-based GP care through urgent access appointments, routine reviews, telephone consultations and clinical triage. Each service provides clear expectations, structured workflows and supportive clinical teams to ensure safe and efficient working conditions.
