Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a General Practice Nurse for flexible, sessional work across Hartfield. The role focuses on structured treatment room duties, chronic disease reviews, and immunisations in well-supported GP environments.

You will support clinical teams with NHS Health Checks, wound care, and routine assessments, maintaining digital notes and adhering to local care plans. Flexibility includes weekdays, evenings or weekends, with ad-hoc or ongoing opportunities.

Qualifications

• Registered with the NMC and has primary care experience
• Immunisation and cytology training desirable
• Strong treatment room competency
• Able to work independently in a GP setting
• Familiarity with EMIS Web or SystmOne
• Enhanced DBS clearance required or in place

Responsibilities

• Delivering treatment room procedures including wound care and dressings
• Supporting chronic disease reviews according to local care plans
• Administering adult and childhood immunisations (if trained)
• Performing smear tests where cytology-trained
• Conducting NHS Health Checks and routine assessments
• Maintaining accurate digital clinical notes
• Supporting general nursing duties as required by the clinic
