Job summary

A leading employment law agency in the United Kingdom is seeking a Locum Employment Lawyer for a 3-month engagement. This role offers the flexibility of full or part-time hours and predominantly remote working. Responsibilities include providing legal advice, managing claims, and drafting legal documents. Ideal candidates will have experience in employment law, especially for local authorities. Competitive pay of up to £55 per hour is offered.

Overview

Locum Employment Lawyer – 3 months + – Full or Part Time – Predominantly Remote Working – Up to £55 per hour Umbrella – Midlands

Responsibilities

• Providing advice to Senior Managers in Council departments and other Officers and staff in HR on a wide range of employment law issues and claims made against the Authority
• Conducting a high standard of Employment work and have TUPE knowledge
• Drafting ET3s and defending Equal Pay Claims, Whistle Blowing Claims and Disability Claims
• Managing a caseload which may include claims relating to Sex discrimination, Race Discrimination, Unfair Dismissal, Constructive Dismissal, Disability Discrimination, Age Discrimination and Redundancy

Qualifications

• Experience in Employment Law matters and prior experience working on behalf of Local Authorities
