Job description

National Locums is hiring a Consultant Dermatologist on a locum, part-time or full-time basis. This position is based in an NHS hospital setting in Birmingham.

Pay Rate

The pay rate ranges from £800 to £2000 per day, depending on the candidate's experience and CV strength.

Responsibilities
  • See and treat patients with conditions such as minor-ops, Botox and fillers, biologics, and 2-week wait clinics.
  • Share clinical responsibilities within the department, with flexible working patterns including weekends.
  • Supervise nurse-led clinics and provide management advice to GPs where appropriate.
  • Take on clinical duties based on a 10 PA contract; applications for 1-2 days per week are encouraged.
  • UK visa sponsorship will be provided if needed.
  • Payments can be processed via a limited company or self-employed options through a private service provider.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Broad experience in medical and surgical dermatology, including management of acute dermatoses.
  • Special interest and expertise in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Experience
  • Equivalent to UK CCST training in Dermatology.
  • Ability to provide expert opinions on a wide range of dermatological issues.
  • Independent responsibility for patient care and ability to oversee care for chronic skin conditions with nursing staff.
  • Supervised training in an appropriate SpR training program or equivalent.
