Job summary

The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust in Dudley seeks a dermatologist to join the skin oncology MDT and participate in a weekly on-call rota for ward referrals and urgent queries. The post includes 3 clinical sessions and MDT involvement, with protected time for development of a special interest clinic.

You will provide services across outpatients, day-cases and in-patients, supervise staff, and contribute to education, audit and governance within dermatology.

Qualifications

• MRCP (UK) or recognised equivalent qualification.
• Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
• Degree from a recognised University.
• Ability to apply research outcomes to clinical problems.
• Knowledge of current developments and initiatives in dermatology.

Responsibilities

• Provision of a Dermatology Service for outpatients, day-cases, in-patients, ward referrals and relevant surgical procedures.
• Education, training and supervision of medical students, junior medical staff, nurses, paramedics and GPs.
• Administrative duties to ensure proper departmental functioning.
• Provide cover for colleagues' periods of leave.
• Participation in medical audit, clinical governance, research and CPD relating to dermatology.
• Management and supervision of medical, nursing and other professional staff within the Dermatology MDT.
• Attendance at Directorate, District and Regional meetings to represent the department.
• Participation in the Dermatology on-call rota and cross cover with colleagues.
