Job summary

MBR Dental are assisting a dental practice in Tavistock, Devon to recruit a Locum Dentist on a temporary, part-time basis. The role offers up to 4 days per week with flexible start dates and a 9am-5.30pm clinic pattern.

Working in a mixed NHS and private environment, the successful candidate will join an established team on a self-employed basis, with potential to progress to a permanent position and a competitive remuneration model including day rates or UDA splits.

• GDC registration is required.
• Active performer number.
• Valid DBS check.

Locum Dentist / Tavistock, Devon / Part Time

MBR Dental are currently assisting a dental practice located in Tavistock, Devon to recruit a Locum Dentist to join their team on a temporary basis.

Position Details:

• Flexible start date.
• Ongoing Locum Dentist required until further notice.
• Part time opportunity, up to 4 days per week.
• Flexible surgery space across Mon, Wed, Thurs and Fri 9am-5.30pm.
• Mixed NHS and Private working environment.
• General Dentist required on a self employed basis.
• Opportunity to progress to a permanent role at the practice.

Remuneration & Benefits:

• Day rate available or paid per UDA.
• High demand for private treatments; income paid at 50% split.
• Monthly pay with a one-week notice period.

• Typical earnings for an NHS Dentist range from £50,000 to £140,000 FTE plus private earnings.

It hosts a range of independent shops, markets, and walking / cycle trails to neighbouring Plymouth. It has direct access to Dartmoor and is close to National Trust properties.
