Job summary

Military Medical Personnel seeks a Locum Dental Practitioner to cover an MoD assignment at Pirbright Dental Centre, Woking, Surrey. The role is part-time (18.5 hours per week) delivering a high standard of dental care to MoD personnel.

Pay rates include PAYE £48.68 per hour or self-employed £55.98 per hour. The post requires GDC registration and ongoing CPD, with a focus on safety and compliance within Defence healthcare settings.

Qualifications

• Fully registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) without restrictions.
• Foundation Training in Dentistry in the UK, or evidence of at least 12 months full-time postgraduate clinical experience in primary dental care.
• Must hold indemnity insurance with a recognised dental defence organisation.
• Evidence of clinical currency per JSP 950 Leaflet 4-1-4, 2 clinical sessions per week over 15 months.
• CPD including medical emergencies, safeguarding, disinfection and decontamination, radiography and radiation protection.

Responsibilities

• Provide full range of dental treatment and undertake related admin duties to maintain dental health and operational fitness of MoD personnel.
• Assist the Senior Dental Officer or operate independently to achieve dental fitness targets.
• Ensure not less than 6.5 hours per day in 2 sessions are allocated for direct patient contact.
• Record all treatment accurately in the electronic health record and relevant documents.
