A locum dental hygienist is needed at HMS Neptune Dental Centre for an 11-week assignment, supporting MOD service personnel and families under a dentist's treatment plan. The role involves delivering hygiene treatment, education, and clerical duties, with work Monday to Friday for 15 hours weekly.

The post requires registration with the GDC, current emergency/resuscitation training, and compliance with HTM 01-05 standards, with visa/right-to-work in the UK already in place.

Qualifikationen

• Fully registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) with no restrictions.
• CPD covering medical emergencies, safeguarding, disinfection & decontamination, radiography and radiation protection.
• Experience in dental hygiene care and education within NHS/DEFENCE context is desirable.

Aufgaben

• Provide dental hygiene treatment and oral health education to service personnel and families.
• Support Dental Officers clinically and administratively under a dentist's written treatment plan.
• Maintain records and documentation in the Electronic Health Records (DMICP).
• Carry out cross‑infection control and sterilisation to HTM 01-05 and DPHC SOPs Chapter 17.
• Manage appointment books and liaise between Dental Officer and patients.
