An established healthcare provider is seeking a Locum Consultant Urologist with a special interest in Endourology. Applications are invited to apply for a full time Locum Consultant Urologist with a sub-specialty interest in Endourology. The role will be based across Epsom & St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust to support the Urology department in the achievement of its Emergency and Elective Performance standards. This post attracts 10 PAs. This is for a 12 month fixed term post with a view to a substantive appointment.
The Urology Department provides a comprehensive general urology service covering all the main sub specialties. There are close links with the Royal Marsden Hospital and St George’s hospital for oncology and more complex urological conditions. The department is well supported by an interventional radiology department. The Urology department supports the Renal unit at St Helier. There is an onsite lithotripter and the department offers a regional acute and elective lithotripsy service.
Specialist nursing staff attached to the department include 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, four urology nurse specialists in benign urology and six in cancer.
You must be fully registered with the GMC and hold Licence to Practice and ideally be on the Specialist Register, or within six months of attaining your CCT or equivalent at interview stage.
