Job summary

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is offering a full-time consultant post in the Plastic Surgery Department for a fixed 12-month contract. The post-holder will provide limb reconstruction and general plastic surgery, with scope to discuss sub-specialty interests according to service needs.

The Burns & Plastic Surgery service is delivered across Southmead Hospital and the Royal Bristol Hospital for Children, City Hospital. The post-holder will participate in elective theatres and the on-call rota.

Qualifications

• High level of clinical experience in general plastic surgery.
• Ability to participate in on-call and emergency cover.
• Experience with limb reconstruction and cancer-related reconstructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide limb reconstruction and general plastic surgery.
• Participate in elective theatre and outpatient capacity.
• Join on-call rota for emergency cases.
• Contribute to specialist clinics and multidisciplinary meetings.
