A leading healthcare provider in Shrewsbury is seeking a Locum Consultant to join the Care of the Older Adult department. This role involves delivering high-quality care to frail older patients and working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong clinical skills, effective communication, and a commitment to developing new services. The position comes with 10 Programmed Activities and general medicine on-call duties.
The Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Trust has an exciting opportunity for a Locum Consultant within the Care of the Older Adult department. These are new posts aimed at expanding the department and developing front door (acute frailty) and short stay ward capabilities across the Trust. Each post attracts 10 Programmed Activities and on-call duties in general medicine.
Contribution to an out of hours on-call rota is core to this role.
The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH) is the main provider of acute hospital services for around half a million people in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and mid Wales.

Our main service locations are the Princess Royal Hospital (PRH) in Telford and the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital (RSH) in Shrewsbury, located approximately 20 minutes apart. Together, they provide 99% of our activity, offering a wide range of acute hospital services including emergency care, outpatient services, diagnostics, inpatient medical care, and critical care.
