The Royal Bolton Hospital has been developed as the district general hospital for the area and serves a catchment population of 320,000 which includes the Bolton Metropolitan Borough as well as parts of Atherton, Leigh and Walkden. The hospital has all the specialties found in a large acute district general. There is a divisional structure system in operation. ENT is a department within this structure and is part of the Anaesthetics and Surgical Services Division. The post holder will report to the Clinical Lead, Mr Simon Hargreaves and be accountable to the Divisional Medical Director, Miss Angela Volleamere.

The post holder will join a team of ENT surgeons who provide a range of subspecialty services including otology, rhinology, paediatric and laryngology.
Main duties of the jobThe principle role of the post-holder is to be an active member of the ENT Team. The post-holder is expected to take a team approach to relationships with other departments, clinic and theatre staff.
A computer with internet access and a shared office will be provided.
