Overview

This post is an exciting opportunity for a senior consultant to lead the Obstetric and Gynaecology Department at UHCW NHS Trust. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with clinical colleagues to deliver a comprehensive service to patients in the Coventry and Warwickshire communities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strong leadership to all disciplines within obstetrics and gynaecology.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with other specialties and participate in regular clinical meetings.
  • Communicate openly with clinicians, midwives, nurses and administrative staff on developments within the department.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and development, supporting research, audit, education and training.
  • Facilitate skills drills and take remedial action if deficiencies are identified.
  • Take ongoing responsibility for patients under your care and supervise trainee doctors.
  • Participate in teaching and supervision of medical students and coordinate teaching sessions.
