A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking an experienced Locum Consultant in Neurology to join their specialized team at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. This fixed-term position offers the chance to provide high-quality patient care, engage in teaching, and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives. This is a fixed term for 6 months position working over 40 hours, the shift pattern for this post is core hours with oncall.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Locum Consultant in Neurology based within the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with an interest in headache. The post offers an opportunity to work within a highly specialised regional Neurology service offering high quality patient care in line with ever evolving best practice.
The service adopts a multidisciplinary approach to care provision and the post holder will integrate with clinical nurse specialists, specialist AHPs and a team of specialised ward based neurology nursing colleagues. Ideally the successful candidate will have a subspecialist interest in Headache. This is a time of significant change in this service and the successful candidate will work with the Lead Clinician/Clinical Director, the Clinical Service Manager and colleagues in the multi-disciplinary team to deliver and develop enhanced Neurology services for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and West of Scotland Board partners.
The team is committed to ongoing quality improvement of their service and we are keen to support candidates who are looking for the opportunity to develop/maintain areas of research interest. As a teaching hospital, an interest in teaching and training is also encouraged. The post is offered on a full time basis as 10 PAs inclusive of DCC and SPA time.
