Requirements for the Role

1. Educational Qualifications:
   • MBBS or equivalent
   • Further higher qualification MD or PhD
2. Registration and Licensing:
   • Full GMC Registration with a Licence to Practise
   • Evidence of entry on GMC Specialist Register OR have CCT or be within 6 months of attaining CCT at the time of interview and entry on GMC Specialist Register by the start date OR evidence that the GMC is processing the Specialist Registration application (must be provided prior to interview)
3. Experience:
   • Wide experience in Neurology & a sub-specialty interest in Epilepsy
   • 6 months UK Healthcare setting experience at middle grade / senior level
   • Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCT in Neurology
   • Experience of supervising junior medical staff
   • Experience of & commitment to teaching basic clinical skills to undergraduates & postgraduates
   • Five years supervised training in an appropriate StR equivalent training programme
