Overview

Swansea Bay University Health Board is seeking a 10-session Locum Consultant Medical Oncologist with a subspecialist interest in colorectal cancer. The post involves delivering SACT, expanding a trials portfolio for colorectal cancer, and contributing to high quality patient care, research, innovative service models, performance targets, and education/training.

Job responsibilities

The postholder will provide a comprehensive non-surgical oncology service (SACT) for patients with colorectal cancer and will work closely with the surgical team based at Hywel Dda University Health Board and surgeons at Morriston Hospital. The postholder will join a team of 2 clinical oncologists and 2 medical oncologists delivering non-surgical treatment for colorectal cancer across South West Wales. The role is a 10-session post with flexible working hours to accommodate caring duties, and there are opportunities to develop off-site working to allow remote chemotherapy prescribing.
