NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a full-time locum Consultant in Paediatric Anaesthesia for a one-year contract starting August 2025. The role involves responsibilities in general and emergency theatres, with a commitment to on-call duties. Applicants must have significant paediatric anaesthetic experience and be eligible for full GMC registration.

Applications are invited for a full-time locum Consultant in Paediatric Anaesthesia at the Royal Hospital for Children.
This is a 10PA contract involving responsibilities in general and emergency theatres. The 'on-call' commitment is 1 in 20, covering out-of-hours emergencies at the RHC site.
The successful candidate will join a team of 26 Anaesthetic consultants providing on-call cover. The department also includes a cardiac anaesthetic rota with 5 paediatric cardiac anaesthetists, as well as advanced trainees, post-CCT Fellows, and specialty trainees from the West of Scotland Training Scheme.
Applicants must be eligible for full GMC registration and be on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT at interview. Significant paediatric anaesthetic experience is required.
