An established industry player is seeking a dedicated consultant in anaesthesia with a special interest in obstetric anaesthesia for a full-time locum position. Job summary
Applications are invited for a full-time locum post for a consultant in anaesthesia with a special interest in Obstetric Anaesthesia for a fixed term of 6 months. The successful applicant would join a team of 9 obstetric subspecialty anaesthetists who undertake a mix of obstetric and adult practice and cover an obstetric on-call rota.
A candidate unable to undertake the duties of a whole-time post for personal reasons will receive equal consideration. If appointed, the job content will be modified as appropriate in consultation with colleagues and management.

The appointment is to the Trust, not specific hospitals.
The appointee will share clinical responsibilities within the Department of Anaesthesia, including peri-operative assessment.
In addition to subspecialty duties, the appointee will provide anaesthesia for adult patients across various specialties as appropriate to their training and experience.
An on-call commitment of approximately 1:10 will provide obstetric anaesthetic services for urgent and emergency cases outside normal hours.
All consultants, including the appointee, will participate in the Trust's Clinical Governance programme, including clinical audit, quality improvement, guideline development, professional development, appraisal, and risk management.
