Recently Poole, Bournemouth, and Christchurch Hospitals merged into UHD. Currently, emergency departments are at both Poole and Bournemouth sites, with RBH designated for PCI and stroke thrombolysis, and Poole as the Major Trauma Unit and in-patient paediatrics. These roles will shift at the end of 2024, with trauma services moving to Bournemouth and the ED relocating to a new department in the Beach Building, alongside Paediatrics, Critical Care, and Maternity.
