Qualifications

Job overview

The advertised post is for a locum appointment within the Department of Clinical Neurophysiology to cover maternity leave for 10 months. This post is available with immediate start. The aim of the role is to provide first-class Clinical Neurophysiology at The Royal London Hospital. The role will be comprised of EMG/NCS testing and EEG reporting as well as supporting activities within the Department, such as supervision and training of training doctors and physiologists. The final agreed job plan will in some measure depend on the specialist interests of the successful candidate but will assist the Department in the delivery of outpatient and inpatient activities. As such, we would encourage applicants to discuss their interests with us including preference for full time or part time working.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate professional, excellent and efficient delivery of care. They will agree a balanced job plan which combines service objectives, professional development and individual interest with the Service Manager and Neurosciences Clinical Director. This job plan is being advertised as a 10PA contract.

The post holder will be expected to work closely with the General Manager, Neurophysiology Lead and the Neurosciences Clinical Director in matters pertaining to the development of the department and to be active in promoting changes which improve the delivery of service to all patients in the Trust. While not essential to the role, those with a particular interest in intra-operative monitoring are encouraged to apply.
