Job Overview
The successful candidate will play an important role in the redesign of service provision in light of the Health Board's Clinical Futures strategy, and the Welsh Government Future Delivery of Pathology Services in Wales document. You will be working within a team to provide a clinical and laboratory Cellular Pathology service to a catchment population of 600,000. The laboratory has full UKAS ISO15189 accreditation and is networked to provide a comprehensive Cellular Pathology service to the area.
Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
Please see attached Job Description. For these positions, you will already be fully registered with the GMC and hold a Licence to Practice. This position involves Regulated Activity with children and adults as defined by the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act (amended by the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012) and the following checks will be undertaken following any conditional offer: an adults and childrens barred list check.
Candidates for Consultant posts must also be on the GMC Specialist Register or working towards Specialist Registration via CESR/European Community Rights and must hold FRCPath qualification.
To work in the UK, all candidates who are not UK or Republic of Ireland (RoI) nationals require sponsorship to obtain either a Health and Care visa or a Skilled Worker visa. Non UK / RoI candidates wishing to apply should self-assess the likelihood of obtaining a Certificate of Sponsorship.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
