An exciting opportunity has arisen for three Locum Consultants in General Anaesthesia.
The post holder must be medically qualified, maintain GMC specialist registration, and hold a licence to practice.
We seek a motivated, dedicated colleague who shares our vision of a cohesive department focused on excellent patient care and outstanding multidisciplinary team collaboration.
This is a primarily clinical role, carried out across various Guy's and St Thomas' hospital sites, including our High Volume Low Complexity Hub at Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup.
The position is full-time, with a 10 PA per week workload, including 9 PAs for direct clinical care and 1 PA for supporting professional activities.
Clinical duties include elective theatre work and preoperative assessment clinics, typically over five days (Monday to Friday), with 1 in 10 weeks involving weekend work.
You will discuss and agree upon a detailed job plan, including personal and professional objectives, with the Clinical Leads and Director prior to starting.
The TAP directorate has expanded its team of Consultant Anaesthetists by a third in the last three years, now comprising over 100 consultants with diverse interests and specialties, working across Guy's and St Thomas' Foundation Trust and Queen Mary's Hospital in Sidcup.

The post is fixed-term, with a provisional 10 PA job plan outlined in the Job Description. We seek a dynamic, motivated anesthetist to provide emergency and elective care across various hospital sites, with opportunities in specialist areas based on expertise, such as cardiothoracic, vascular, renal transplant, regional anesthesia, orthopedics, robotic surgery, and urology.
This role does not include on-call duties. The post holder will participate in clinical and service activities to ensure high patient care standards. Experience in education, teaching, governance, leadership, and research will be advantageous.
