Job description

Locum Consultant Acute Medicine

1 Year Fixed Term Contract

We are seeking a Locum Consultant to join our dynamic Acute Medicine team across both hospital sites. The team is expanding with a focus on excellent patient care, efficient patient flow, and comprehensive training for trainees and junior doctors.

The Trust is committed to developing its consultants through education and specialist interests. We welcome discussions about your specialty interests, which may include respiratory, gastroenterology, endocrine, or other areas. Responsibilities include in-patient work, hot clinics, and ambulatory clinics.

You will be supported by a multidisciplinary team, including a dedicated leadership and governance team, with a doctor establishment comprising 5 registrars, 3 CTs, 13 SHOs, and 5 FY1s. We also collaborate with training doctors from the London Deanery to foster training and workforce development.

The Trust is located conveniently close to Central London, with onsite nursery facilities at Queen’s and King George Hospital sites. Applicants must have CCT in General Medicine or be within 6 months of obtaining it, with relevant acute medicine experience. Full GMC registration is required.
